CT Select Softball was created to provide athletes with a competitive, positive, and development-focused environment where they can grow both on and off the field.
Our mission is to develop fundamentally strong, confident, and hardworking athletes while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, accountability, effort, and respect. We want our players to be challenged, learn from mistakes, support one another, and continue developing a genuine love for the game.
While we compete to win, development will always remain a priority. We want every athlete to finish the season as a better softball player, teammate, and more confident young woman.
We are also committed to providing a quality travel softball experience while remaining as affordable and accessible to families as possible.

The CT Select Experience
The CT Select season will run from Fall 2026 through Summer 2027, with a goal of maintaining a roster of approximately 12 players.
The season is anticipated to include:
• Fall practices, scrimmages, league play and/or tournaments
• Winter training, tournaments and player development
• Spring practices and scrimmages
• Approximately 7–8 summer tournaments
Maintaining a smaller roster allows coaches to provide more individualized instruction while giving athletes meaningful opportunities to compete and develop.
Player Development & Playing Time
CT Select is a competitive developmental travel softball program. Equal playing time is not guaranteed, and no player is guaranteed a specific position or place in the batting order.
Coaches may consider attendance, effort, attitude, performance, positional needs, player development, opponent/matchup, safety, and game situations when making lineup decisions.
At the same time, every rostered athlete matters. Our goal is to develop every player rather than carry a large roster where athletes receive limited opportunities.
Mistakes are part of development. Players will be expected to demonstrate effort, coachability, accountability, sportsmanship, and a team-first attitude.
Commitment & Expectations
Joining CT Select requires a high level of commitment from both players and families. Players are expected to attend all scheduled practices, training sessions, and games. Consistent attendance is vital for team cohesion and personal growth.
Families are expected to support the team's code of conduct and maintain a positive environment. Our program thrives when everyone is aligned with our mission of development and competitive excellence.
